HAKOM's experts at the 2nd EU Rail Freight Days conference

HAKOM's experts participated in the 2nd European Rail Freight Days conference which was organized in Vienna by the European Commission and RNE.
 
ZAGREB, 4 December 2015 – The 2nd EU Rail Freight Days conference was organized in Vienna by the European Commission and the RailNetEurope (RNE). The conference was attended by experts from the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), Dragica Flam and Kristijan Solina.
 
The conference consisted of three round tables on the topic of rail transport in the EU. The topics discussed at one round table included the interoperability of the rail system in relation to national rules, cross-border agreements, alignment of operational rules, traffic regulation and coordination in the preparation of train schedules with a view to increasing trail traffic. The second round table covered the topic of rail freight corridors, in particular the ordering of rail capacity and rail infrastructure at the last mile of transport to the user. The last round table included topics such as innovation in the rail and freight traffic, in particular of the rail and freight rolling stock.
