VIJEST

BEREC’s Regulatory Framework Expert Working Group met in Brussels to discuss the September proposal of the European Commission.

Zagreb, 14 October 2016 – A meeting of the BEREC Regulatory Framework Expert Working Group is taking place in Brussels. The Working Group is discussing the first draft of BEREC’s opinion on the proposal for the new regulatory framework for electronic communications published by the European Commission in September. Although BEREC does not have a formal role in the legislative process for the adoption of the new regulatory framework, BEREC, as an independent expert authority gathering EU regulators, may give opinions influencing the positions of legislative bodies, including the Council of the EU and the European Parliament.   Pending final adoption, the draft opinion is not available to the public. The Head of HAKOM’s Legal Affairs Department, Domagoj Maričić, is participating in the work of the BEREC’s Working Group as a representative of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).
