HAKOM at the Second BEREC Plenary Meeting

HAKOM participated at the second BEREC Plenary Meeting held on 4 and 5 June in Bergen

ZAGREB, 8 June 2015
- In Bergen, on 4 and 5 June, the Plenary Meeting of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) was held, where the main objective of the meeting was the Discussion on Digital Single Market (DSM Strategy)

The representative of the European Commission, Mr. Roberto Viola announced that the European Commission adopted the Strategy of Digital Single EU Market on May 6 2015, comprising 16 key measures which should be carried out by the European Commission by the end of 2016.The strategy is divided into three parts.The first part covers a better access for consumers and business entities to digital goods and services while the other part refers to the creation of the corresponding conditions for digital network development and the innovative services. The third session explains the best possible way to utilize the digital economy potentials. Apart from the Strategy discussions, the discussion on future activities that would be implemented by the end of the current year, were discussed as well.
 
Mr. Domagoj Jurjević, Deputy President of the Council of HAKOM and Mr. Marko Čavlović, Assistant Director participated at the second Plenary Meeting.
