HAKOM at the Workshop on Improving Trade and Transport at the Port of Ploče

During the workshop, the representatives of the public sector and decision makers concerning the areas of transport, railways, customs and border control, coming from the countries along the Corridor Vc, will make an overview of the current status at the Port and the Corridor. The goal is to take into consideration all the possibilities for trade expansion and transport facilitation.
 
ZAGREB, June 11, 2015 - In Sarajevo, Thursday a workshop on "Improving Trade Facilitation at the Port of Ploče referring to the Pan-European Transport Corridor Vc" was held. The workshop was organized by the World Bank in cooperation with the Port of Ploče Authority. On behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) Ms. Nataša Oliva Prgeša, Senior Railway Services Expert took part.
During the workshop, the representatives of the public sector and decision makers concerning the areas of transport, railways, customs and border control, coming from the countries along the Corridor Vc, will make an overview of the current status at the Port and the Corridor. The goal is to consider all the possibilities to improve trade, facilitate transport and to establish mechanisms for future coordination and short-term action plan. During the workshop, the World Bank will present the key findings of the ". Regional Balkans Infrastructure Study” The barriers and disadvantages in connecting the Port of Ploče via the Corridor Vc with Bosnia and Herzegovina, northern Croatia, Serbia and Hungary will be presented. In addition to it, the situation on port competitiveness will be discussed as well.
