HAKOM at the Annual Plenary Meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies (IRG-Rail)

ZAGREB, November 13, 2015 – The annual plenary meeting of the Independent Regulators' Group – Rail was held in Rotterdam. At the meeting, the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Nikola Popović, Member of the Council and Dragica Flam, Senior railway services Expert
 
At the plenary meeting two documents were adopted. They represent a joint attitude of the IRG-Rail on the topic of the 4th Rail Package regarding the railway infrastructure management and award of the public services contracts, while the other document is related to the amendments to the Regulation No 913/2010 on Freight Corridors.

An overview of practices in calculating the passengers stations fees was presented at the meeting as well as the overview of practices in calculating the fees in the EU (minimum access package), research on longer cross-border passengers travelling in Europe, review of the guidelines for the market supervision report, report on procedures and decision-making methods of the regulatory bodies, report on the experience and access to the rolling stock, a workshop on the topic of the Network Report and an updated report on the implementation of the Directive 14/2012/EU.
For the first time, a new member, the Romanian regulatory authority attended the meeting while the Work plan for 2016 was adopted as well.
