HAKOM at the Meeting of BEREC Expert Working Group Responsible for the Revision of the Regulatory Framework

The Working Group held the meeting on preliminary considerations of the proposal for a comprehensive reform of the regulatory framework for the Electronic communications which was submitted by the European Commission last week.
 
ZAGREB, September 21, 2016 – The meeting of BEREC Expert Working Group (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications) was held in Brussels. The Working Group is dealing with the revision of the EU regulatory framework in the field of electronic communications. The Working Group gathered together for a preliminary consideration of the proposal for a comprehensive reform of the regulatory framework in the field of Electronic communications, which was submitted by the EU Commission last week. At the meeting, the tasks were assigned and the deadlines were determined according to which BEREC gives its opinion on the submitted proposal.  BEREC opinion in this procedure is not binding but it has a significant impact on the attitudes of the Member States and the European Parliament in the legislative process of adopting a new regulatory framework.
 
The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Domagoj Maričić, Head of Legal Affairs Department.
