ZAGREB, May 10, 2016 - The 38th meeting of the Project Team FM44 - satellite communications is held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from May 9 to 11. Project Team FM44 - Satellite Communications is responsible for the preparation of the regulatory framework and organization of the usage of the radio frequency spectrum intended for the satellite service within the scope of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) under the jurisdiction of the Working Group Frequency Management (WGFM).
The main topics of the meeting are related to the adoption of a harmonized regulatory framework for terrestrial stations in satellite service which are using the non-geostationary-satellite network in the frequency bands 10.7 - 12.75 GHz (s-Z) and 14.0 -14.5 GHz (Z-s) and the auditing of ECC Report on 066 on Protection of aircraft from Satellite Earth Stations operating on the ground in the vicinity of airfields.
The meeting gathered the representatives of twenty European regulatory authorities, industry and international organizations and the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is represented by Marijan Globan, a Microwave and Satellite Networks Expert.
