HAKOM Granted Licenses for Broadband Wireless Access to the Company NOVI-NET TELEKOMUNIKACIJE

ZAGREB, October 6, 2015 – The Council of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) adopted the decision on granting licenses for the use of radio frequency spectrum in the 3410-3600 MHz frequency band to the company NOVI-NET TELEKOMUNIKACIJE D.O.O., the regional operator of electronic communications from Čakovec. The licences were granted for the region of Međimurje and Varaždin County and the frequency blocks 2x14 MHz and 2x21 MHz according to the Radio frequency assignment plan for point -to-multipoint systems available through the following link https://www.hakom.hr/UserDocsImages/2011/radiodifuzija_i_dozvole/Plan%20dodjele%20za%20sustave%20tocka%20-%20vise%20tocaka.pdf
 
The licence shall be valid for a term of eight years. The licences enable the work of broadband wireless access, in other words, the network which can provide the Internet access and the transmission of voice even in the areas where there is no appropriate cable infrastructure. The decision adopted by the Council of HAKOM is of great importance for the existence of regional operators and the end- users from North-western Croatia will have a greater choice of operators and services in their territories.
