A paper entitled “Experiences of HAKOM in the implementation of the Electronic Communications Act, based on the regulatory framework of the European Union from 2009”, was published in the leading expert-scientific magazine in the area of telecommunications in Serbia.
ZAGREB, 9 December 2013 – “Telekomunikacije” is the leading expert-scientific magazine in the Republic of Serbia in the area of telecommunications. One of the results of a very good co-operation between the regulatory authorities of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Serbia, the Croatian Post and Electronic Communications Agency (HAKOM) and the Republic Agency for Electronic Communication (RATEL), respectively, includes the publishing of a paper by HAKOM’s experts in “Telekomunikacije” magazine. In addition to the cover page, HAKOM’s experience in the implementation of the EU regulatory framework in 2009 in the regulation of the electronic communications market in the Republic of Croatia is presented on ten pages.
It is worth mentioning that more than five years ago, the Republic of Croatia aligned its legislation with the then applicable EU regulatory framework in the area of electronic communications, which under the negotiations for EU accession, resulted in the closing of Chapter 10 “Information society and media” in the autumn of 2008. Croatia was one of the first countries in Europe, which aligned the Electronic Communications Act with the new EUR regulatory framework of 2009. The challenges in this area are frequently the topic of discussion with the regulators in the region. Therefore, the interest in the experiences and opinions of HAKOM’s experts is not surprising.
