NEWS

The new brochure contributes to the education of passengers about their user rights and obligations, and apart from websites it is available on the majority of train stations and in trains.

ZAGREB, 13 January 2021 – HAKOM has published a new brochure intended for passengers in railway transport with the aim of informing them about their rights, but also about their obligations when travelling by train. The brochure was prepared in accordance with the Regulation (EC) No 1371/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on rail passengers’ rights and obligations and the Act on the Regulation of the Market in Railway Services (OG 104/2017) explaining how a train ticket represents a transport contract. By means of purchasing the tickets a passenger accepts the general terms and conditions of a transport contract published on the website of the HŽ Passenger Transport.

In particular, the emphasis was placed on the support to the disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility, by describing the procedure of filing a complaint emphasizing HAKOM's role in the protection of passengers’ rights.

The brochures are available at ticket counters of the majority of train stations, in trains, on websites of HAKOM, HŽ Passenger Transport (http://www.hzpp.hr/propisi) and Consumer Association (www.potrosac.hr).
