HAKOM's Experts at the International Symposium ELMAR-2015 in Zadar

The International Symposium ELMAR-2015 will include a special section on "Future of the UHF band - Second Digital Dividend and Digital Terrestrial Television" where the latest technical achievements and results related to the future and the development of digital terrestrial television as well as the second digital dividend
allocation will be presented.
 
ZAGREB, September 28, 2015 - The International Symposium ELMAR-2015 is taking place in Zadar from 28 to 30 September and it will include the scientific and professional papers in the field of electronics, multimedia and electronic communications. For the fourth year in a row, Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is organizing a special section on radio frequency spectrum management; this time dedicated to the recent topic, the future of the UHF band, and the development of digital terrestrial television and other allocation of the digital dividend. The objective of this special section is to gather representatives of operators, industry and academic community and present research activities in the area of radio frequency spectrum management.
 
At this year’s ELMAR- five HAKOM’s experts will be presenting their works. Mr. Miran Gosta will present “Challenges in Developing and Implementing the Strategy of DVB-T to DVB-T2 Transition", Mr. Krešimir Mazor will give lecture on “Spectrum Pricing Overview for Digital Dividend in Europe “while Mr. Tomislav Vodopijak will talk about “PPDR Network Implementation Options". Mr.Mladen Jakovac will present the work entitled "Measurement and Testing Pulsed Radar Emission and parameters with Spectrum Analyser in Time Domain" and Ms.Ana Katalinić Mucalo will present her work entitled "Criteria for Mobile Coverage Obligations Overview in Europe".
 
In his welcome speech, at the opening of the Symposium HAKOM's director Mr. Mario Weber emphasized that the effective management of radio frequency spectrum as a limited natural resource is a very important aspect for the development and deployment of new services and technologies, which is primarily HAKOM’s responsibility as an independent national regulatory authority. In this way, HAKOM continues its successful cooperation with the representatives of academic community and industry.
