In cooperation with the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences HAKOM organized the Fourth Round Table with the Stakeholders of the Postal Services Market

The emphasis of the roundtable discussion was put on the topics of common interest of all stakeholders especially the topics regarding the e-commerce, the consumer protection and current trends in the postal services market.
 
ZAGREB, February 22, 2016 –In cooperation with the Faculty of Traffic Sciences in Zagreb the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) organized the fourth Round Table of stakeholders in the postal services market in the Republic of Croatia which was held on Monday in Zagreb. By continuing with the organization of the round tables with the representatives of the Academic community and Society for Consumer Protection HAKOM encourages a good business practice of interactive communication among the stakeholders of the postal services market in the Republic of Croatia. A special emphasis of the Round Table discussion was on the topics of common interest of all stakeholders especially the topics regarding the e-commerce, the consumer protection and current trends in the postal services market.

Many presentations were held in the fourth Round Table. Mr Andrej Sardelić, Postal Services Department Manager at HAKOM held the presentation on the development of postal services in the Republic of Croatia in the period from 1991 to 2015. Mr. Marijan Bolarić, Member of the Council held the presentation entitled” E-commerce and New Challenges for the Postal Service Providers” HAKOM's Legal Affairs Expert Ana Šubat Perković held the presentation on the “Protection of consumers’ rights of Postal Services in the Republic of Croatia.
 
Presentation on the topic” The implementation of consumers’ protection in accordance with the legal framework” held Estera Rakić from -Croatian Post while Branka Olujić held the presentation on the experiences in the field of e-commerce from the company E-buy and Tomislav Vrankić from the Croatian Post. The Postal services market development strategy was represented by Zvonko Kavran from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in Zagreb.
 
Roundtables with the stakeholders are HAKOM’s responsibility and represent a step forward in the improvement of market regulation primarily promoting the regulatory predictability through the dialogue and discussion on the topics of current interest.
