MIPRO 2020 starting soon and this Year's Guest Event will be HAKOM's Market Day again

MIPRO 2020 is organized as a hybrid gathering and it will take place physically and virtually, depending on the epidemiological situation and the possibilities as well as the needs of participants. The willingness of the Republic of Croatia for 5G, wholesale conditions for access to newly built networks and transparency of conditions for the use of public communications services are the topics that will be presented at HAKOM’s Market Day.

Zagreb, September 24 2020-This year’s, 43d International Convention for Information, Communication and Electronic Technology MIPRO 2020 will be held in Opatija at the Grand Hotel Adriatic Congress Centre and the REMISENS Hotel Admiral. The opening ceremony was announced for Wednesday, September 30 at 10 a.m. and this year's program will start after the welcoming words of the organizers and sponsors which will be followed by numerous plenary lectures, round tables, workshops, special sessions and presentations. As Guest Event within the scope of the programme, Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) will hold its traditional market day from 4 p.m. -7p.m. the event that has brought together representatives of stakeholders in the electronic communications, postal and rail services markets, as well as state administration bodies, the economy and media.

This year's event will present the most important activities on the electronic communications market in the future. The aim of the event is to encourage open discussion on some of the most attractive topics, and the focus will be on the following topics:

1. Readiness of the Republic of Croatia for 5G?
2. Wholesale conditions for access to newly built networks
3. Transparency of the conditions of use of public communications services

Taking into consideration all the facts of the threat from the COVID-19 pandemic, MIPRO 2020 will organised as a hybrid conference, which means that the implementation of all programme elements will be carried out physically and virtually, depending on the epidemiological situation the possibilities and needs of the participants. Virtual participation will be enabled through advanced communications and collaborative interaction through a hybrid conference platform.
