The topics discussed at the meeting on development of mobile satellite services, as well as the adoption of new guidelines for the establishment of operators with significant market power n the forthcoming activities related to the WiFi4EU project.
ZAGREB, 7 February 2018 - A meeting of the European Commission (EC) on the COCOM - Communications Committee was held in Brussel. Domagoj Maričić, Head of Legal Affairs Department took part in the meeting on behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) as a representative of the Republic of Croatia. In addition the EC informed the Member States about the development of mobile satellite services as well as the forthcoming adoption of new guidelines for identifying operators with significant market power and about the forthcoming activities related to the WiFi4EU project according to which the local communities will be provided with vouchers for equipment for points for free internet access HAKOM at the COCOM Meeting of the European Commission. The EC stated that due to technical reasons it was late to set up the application portal which will be open in March. After that, potential applicants will be given a two-month deadline to familiarize themselves with the manner and the conditions of the application, prior to the formal call announcement.
