HAKOM at Infosecurity Europe

Infosecurity Europe 2016 is being held in London from 7 to 9 June, and its main topic is the preparation for the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which was adopted this year.
 
ZAGREB, 7 June 2016. – Infosecurity Europe 2016 is taking place in London from 7 to 9 June. This is one of the leading European events in the field of information security that will gather over 12 thousand participants. The extensive conference programme will include more than 315 presenters and visitors will be offered a rich educational programme with more than 260 known lecturers.
 
The main topic of the conference is the preparation for the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which was adopted this year, and its impact on business. Furthermore, the conference will cover new trends in information security with a special emphasis on prevention and analysis of trends in the development of ransomware. Special attention at the conference was dedicated to protection and management of security of content stored on cloud servers since this is the main reason for slow adaptation of this type of services, and security of information on IoT applications.
 
The objective of the conference is to gather information about new trends in industry, threats and manner of their prevention and regulatory practice and experiences in relation to the protection of data and information resources. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is represented at the conference by a senior expert for information technology, Damir Sušanj, who will participate in security workshops in particular on GDRR regulation, risk management and regulation of cloud servers.
