The speed of internet access in a fixed network

Operators are obliged to specify in the contract the minimum (in both incoming and outgoing directions), commonly available, and maximum internet access speeds. The minimum speed represents a value of at least 70 percent of the maximum contracted internet access speed or the maximum speed of the previously lower-tier service package, depending on which is more favourable for you.

If the operator does not provide the minimum internet access speed, they are required to offer contract termination without paying an early termination fee. With your consent, they can also enable a switch to another package that better suits the achievable internet access speed or reduce the monthly fee.

You can measure the actual internet access speed delivered by the operator using the HAKOMetar application, the only application whose measurement results are an appropriate proof in the process of resolving complaints about service quality.
