Radio Frequency Allocation Table

The Radio Frequency Allocation Table determines the allocation of radio frequency bands for specific radiocommunication services in accordance with the Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). For each radio frequency band, it further defines, in particular, the following:

• Its allocation for one or more radiocommunication services in the Republic of Croatia, where a specific radio frequency band may not be designated for certain radiocommunication services (use independent of the type of radiocommunication service);
• Its allocation for one or more relevant applications or technologies, where the use of a given radio frequency band may be independent of the applied technology (technologically neutral use);
• Its allocation for civil and/or military use;
• The possibility of its transfer or lease;
• The conditions for the assignment and use of the associated radio frequencies, which may particularly indicate the application of other relevant regulations, international treaties and agreements, as well as decisions and recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), and other competent international organizations and institutions;
• The procedure for granting the licences for the use of radio frequency spectrum, which specifies the obligation to obtain such licences.

The Radio Frequency Allocation Table is an integral part of the Ordinance on the allocation of the radio frequency spectrum which is adopted by the Minister upon the proposal of the Council of HAKOM.

The Radio Frequency Allocation Table may define different allocation, assignment and use conditions, and procedures for issuing licences for the same radio frequency band.
