HAKOM at the 2nd Southeast Europe Regulatory Summit and the 7th Infocom conference

Albania is hosting the 2nd Southeast Europe Regulatory Summit and the 7th Infocom Conference. During the conference the Director of HAKOM, Mr. Mario Weber spoke on the importance of the open internet for the future development of services and for attracting new investments. 
 
ZAGREB, 25 May 2016. – The Executive Director of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) Mr. Mario Weber was invited by the Chairman of the Council of the Albanian regulatory authority and the Minister of Innovation of Albania to participate in the 2nd Southeast Europe Regulatory Summit and the 7th Infcom Conference on the topic of ˝Shaping the digital future˝, which is taking place in Tirana, Albania.
 
During the plenary session on „The open Internet, as a motor for innovation and growth new technology, big data, a new challenge for the region“, Mr.  Mario Weber gave a presentation on the importance of the open internet for the future development of services and for attracting new investments. In addition to representatives of the Albanian and Croatian regulatory authorities, the gathering is attended by representatives of ITU and the European Commission and by representatives of regulatory authorities of Belgium, the Czech Republic, Kosovo, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey.
