HAKOM at the Meeting of SRD / MG Expert Working Group

The main topic of the meeting is drafting the proposal for stronger technical adjustment of the spectrum in 870-876 MHz frequency bands and 915-921 MHz, with new possibilities in frequency range 862-868 MHz for the usage of short-range devices in Europe.
  
ZAGREB, 4 October 2016 - A meeting of the SRD / MG Working Group was held in Mainz on October 4th, 2016 (Short Range Devices / Maintenance Group), responsible for technical harmonization of spectrum use for short-range devices within Europe.
 
The main topic of the meeting is drafting the proposed annex to the 59th CEPT's report (CEPT - European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations). The aim of the annex to the Report is to make a regulatory framework within the radio frequency bands 870-876 MHz and 915-921 MHz because of the European technical harmonization and to enable a growing number of new SRD applications, taking into account the new possibilities in the range from 862 to 868 MHz for the use of short-range devices in Europe.
 
The 25 participants were involved in the work such as, the representatives of the administration and industries interested in the field and ECO (European Communications Office). The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Tomislav Bartolec, Senior Expert for RiTT equipment.
