HAKOM and FER at the CUC 2015 Conference representing “Privacy Calculator“

ZAGREB, November 19 2015 - The 17th CARNet Users Conference CUC 2015 is held under the auspices of the Croatian President and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports gathering more than 800 participants. This year's conference is held on the topic "New-School", and during the three-day conference there will be a series of lectures and more than 30 workshops presenting over 50 papers as well as two round tables with several accompanying presentations by CARNet and its partners. The conference program is divided into five thematic sections entitled” Classroom Without Walls, “e-World School”, “Internet All Around Us”, “Managing Change in e-Schools” and “Loss of Privacy in the Digital Age? ˝.
 
Within the last thematic topic, the application “Privacy Calculator” will be presented on Thursday. It was designed thanks to the cooperation with the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), University of Zagreb, within the framework of scientific -programme "Looking into the Future2020". It is an application published on HAKOM‘s website with the objective to inform the end users of the Internet access services about the potential risks caused by giving personal information online.
