HAKOM at the BCO Network Meeting

The BCO Network Meeting was held in the organization of the European Commission on the experience and knowledge about possible support to the development of broadband access from the European Regional Development Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development
.
 
ZAGREB, 14 November 2016 – Following the invitation of the organizer the European Commission, the BCO meeting (Broadband Competence Offices) was held in Brussels. The discussion topic was the future BCO priorities as well as the experience and knowledge about possible support for the deployment of broadband access from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The Development Strategy to the European Gigabit society and WIFI4EU initiatives were presented at the meeting.  Moreover, the most successful European projects in the field of broadband access in 2016 were chosen. 
 
On Tuesday, November 15, the conference entitled "B-DAY: Going Giga event" was held along with a series of panel discussions and lectures focused on the activities that should  be performed in order to develop European gigabit society. The experts from the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) Ivana Madžar and Mladen Sikirica took part in the meeting as representatives of the Croatian BCO.
