ZAGREB, 18 November 2016 - The Latvian regulatory body “Public Utilities Commission (SPRK) hosted the fourth meeting of the Contact Group of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) which was held on 17 and 18 November in Jurmala, Latvia. The aim of the meeting was to prepare the 29th BEREC regulatory plenary meeting, to be held on 8 and 9 December 2016, in Berlin, Germany.
Since this is the last year's meeting of the BEREC Contact Group, much of the discussion was devoted to the BEREC draft Annual Work Programme 2017 as well as to the documentation regarding the work of BEREC Expert Working Groups (EEC) during the next year. In addition, the discussion topics were the Work programme of the BEREC Office in 2016 and plans for 2017. In addition, part of the discussion was devoted to the BEREC opinions on the proposed revision of the regulatory framework for the electronic communications, proposed by the European Commission.
On behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) Mr. Marko Čavlović, Deputy Director and Ms. Natalija Boltužić, Council Secretary took part in the meeting.
Since this is the last year's meeting of the BEREC Contact Group, much of the discussion was devoted to the BEREC draft Annual Work Programme 2017 as well as to the documentation regarding the work of BEREC Expert Working Groups (EEC) during the next year.
