HAKOM at the meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM)

An implementing regulation on the calculation of charges for incoming roaming calls was adopted at the meeting.The European Commission also presented a new draft implementing regulation on criteria for the fair use of roaming services, the voting on which is expected to take place at the following meeting, in early December.
 
Zagreb, 24 November 2016 The 67th meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM) took place in Brussels on Wednesday, 23 November, and Croatia was represented at the meeting by the head of the Legal Affairs Department of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), Mr. Domagoj Marčić.

COCOM is a forum for dialogue between the European Commission (EC) and the EU Member States on issues in relation to which the EC has delegated legislative powers (powers to adopt implementing regulations) based on prior consultations with Member States experts.

An implementing regulation on the calculation of charges for incoming roaming calls was adopted at the meeting. The Commission also presented a new draft implementing regulation on criteria for the fair use of roaming services, and the voting on the final text is expected to take place at the following meeting, in early December.
