HAKOM at the Meeting of the Project Team FM44 - Satellite Communications

The project team is responsible for the preparation of the regulatory framework and organization of the use of radio frequency spectrum allocated to satellite service.

 
ZAGREB, 28 November 2016 - From 28 to 30 November Mainz hosted the 40th meeting of the Project Team FM44 - satellite communications. Project Team FM44 - Satellite Communications is responsible for the preparation of the regulatory framework and organization of the use of radio frequency spectrum allocated to satellite service within the scope of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) under the jurisdiction of the Working Group Frequency Management - WGFM.
 
The main topics of the meeting were related to the adoption of a harmonized regulatory framework for terrestrial stations in satellite service used by non-geostationary-satellite network in the frequency band from 10.7 to 12.75 GHz (s-Z) I 14.0 to 14.5 GHz (Z-s) and ECC Audit  Report 066 on the protection of radio equipment in aircraft from the effects of ground stations in satellite earth stations operating in the vicinity of airports.

Twenty two representatives of the European regulatory authorities, industry and international organizations took part in the meeting and the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries(HAKOM)  were represented by Marijan Globan, Senior Microwave and Satellite Networks Expert at HAKOM.
