HAKOM at the Meeting Organized by TCAM Committee and ADCO Group

The main topics of the meeting of TCAM Committee and ADCO Group at the European Commission are Directive on radio equipment (RED), drafting the RED manual, the applicability of the Directive on the combined equipment and the way of the assessment of its compliance with the essential requirements.
 
ZAGREB, 20 September 2016 - The meeting of TCAM (Telecommunications Conformity Assessment and Market Surveillance Committee) and the Plenary Session of ADCO Group (Administrative Cooperation) are held in Brussels. TCAM is an advisory and regulatory committee that assists the European Commission with regard to conformity assessment and market surveillance of radio equipment. ADCO is a group consisting of representatives of the national authorities responsible for market surveillance. The cooperation among the authorities responsible for market surveillance is a key element for functioning of the EU single market.
 
Various aspects of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and its applicability to the combined equipment (home electrical products, drones, and even cars) will be discussed at the meeting.. The group will continue with drafting the RED manual. The manual is a comprehensive set of interpretations of the provisions of the Directive aimed at equal application and comprehension of the provisions of Directive by the bodies responsible for market surveillance. The results from  the last meeting of TCAM Working Group will be discussed as well.
 
The representatives of the EU Member States are the only who take part in the TCAM Committee meeting. The representatives of the industry take part in the TCAM / ADCO RED Group meeting.The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is represented by Tomislav Bartolec, Senior Expert for RiTT equipment.
