HAKOM at the Workshop of the Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG)

The topic of the two-day workshop, held in Lisbon, was the Internet of Things and Machine – to Machine Communication
 
ZAGREB, October 28, 2016 - On October 26 and 27,  a workshop  was held  on the (Internet of Things - IoT) and Machine-To-Machine Communications - M2M) ˝. The workshop was organized by the Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group and hosted by the Portuguese regulator ANACOM. The most important topics which were presented and discussed were related to the further development of these technologies, their implementation, requirements defining the network infrastructure, the usage of radio frequency spectrum and the challenges expected in the further development of the regulatory framework.
 
The development of market services of the above mentioned technologies is different in each country but the regulatory challenges are similar for all services.  In order to present the Croatian experiences of  IoT and M2M, Mr. Krešimir Mazor participated at the workshop on behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), .At the request of the organizers, Krešimir Mazor introduced the current and future use of radio frequency spectrum with the  possibility for the  implementation of IoT and M2M communication technologies.
