Zagreb, 11 October 2024 - HAKOM hosted a meeting of the Working Group on the Regulatory Framework (ERGP Regulatory Framework WG) in Dubrovnik on 7 and 8 October 2024, with members of the working group and drafters in attendance.

During the meeting, participants discussed the draft of the future regulatory framework for the postal sector, with particular emphasis on adapting the framework to address users' needs, including the challenges of digitalisation and the requirements of vulnerable groups. The focus was on jointly reviewing the report, identifying the next steps, and preparing a working document to be presented at the upcoming workshop, as part of the second ERGP Plenary Session, scheduled for 28 and 29 November 2024.

The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) is an advisory body to the European Commission. Its main objective is to consolidate the internal market for postal services and ensure the consistent application of relevant regulations. To achieve these goals, the ERGP facilitates cooperation between independent national regulatory authorities (NRAs) and between them and the Commission. The meetings of the Working Group on the Regulatory Framework are vital for developing an effective regulatory framework in the postal market, helping to ensure that services adapt to new market conditions and the needs of all users, including the most vulnerable groups.
