Preparations for the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-15)

ZAGREB, 30 June 2015 - The World Radiocommunication Conference - WRC-15, deciding on the future use of the radio frequency spectrum for certain services at the global and regional level will take place in November 2015. The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) is one of six regional organizations related to the radio communication which is preparing the common European positions, (European Common Proposal -ECP). By participating in the working groups, the Republic of Croatia as a CEPT member is involved in the creation of the European Common Proposal and it can join the already adopted proposal or it can operate independently and present its point of view.

Common positions refer to some previously agreed agenda items from different areas of radio communications and represent the attitude of most of the countries within CEPT organization, in order to strengthen the position of specific regional organizations, facilitate negotiations at a global level and to make the results more certain, it is crucial to have a harmonized approach within particular regional organizations like CEPT

Since the WRC results must be incorporated into the national regulations and in order to have a significant impact on the future way of managing and usage of radio frequency spectrum as well as the development of wireless technologies and services, HAKOM is launching the public consultation on the 34 previously agreed positions (ECP-s) for WRC 2015. After the end of the public consultation it will be decided on the support of the Republic of Croatia for some ECP-s.
