NEWS

BEREC's Regulatory Framework Expert Working Group held a meeting in order to discuss the Proposal of the European Commission published in September this year.

ZAGREB, 24 October 2016 -The Meeting of BEREC’s Regulatory Framework Expert Working Group was held in Brussels. The Working Group discussed the final draft of BEREC’s opinion on the proposal of new regulatory framework for the electronic communications which was published by the European Commission in September. Although BEREC has no formal role in the legislative procedure of adopting a new regulatory framework, the opinion of BEREC, as an independent and expert body which brings together the EU regulators may have an impact on the views of the legislative bodies such as the Council and the European Parliament. Until its final adoption the draft version of opinion is not available to the public. Domagoj Maričić, Head of Legal Affairs Department participated in the work of BEREC's Working Group as a representative of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).
