HAKOM is hosting the 34th Meeting of the FM44 Project Team - Satellite communications

Zagreb, 28, May 2015., The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), Zagreb is hosting the 34th Meeting of FM44 project team,- satellite communications , which will be held between 28and 30 May , 2015.

The Project Team FM44- Satellite Communications- is in charge of the preparation of regulatory framework and the organization of radio frequency spectrum intended for the satellite service under the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) within the framework of the Working Group Frequency Management (WGFM).
The most interesting topics of the meeting refer to the following items: the adoption of the regulatory framework for the Earth Stations on Mobile Platforms (ESOMP) devices which use non- geostationary satellite system, the definition of the common use of frequency band17,7 - 19,7 for uncoordinated Earth stations in fixed satellite service and fixed radio station in microwave link, as well as to the protection of the radio-astronomy stations from disturbances caused by the Iridium Satellite Network.

Almost 20 representatives of the European regulators, the industry and international organizations will be participating at the meeting while HAKOM will be presented by Marijan Globan, a Microwave and Satellite Networks Expert , and Alen Štefanec ,a Private Networks Specialist.
