HAKOM offers state aid for fast Internet on islands

After a successful completion of four tenders for the building of electronic communications infrastructure for broadband access and the allocation of over HRK 36 million worth of state aid, HAKOM’s Programme for the Development of the Internet and Broadband Access continues on islands.
 
ZAGREB, 7 May 2014 – HAKOM announced today the fifth consecutive tender for the allocation of state aid for the building of necessary electronic communications infrastructure for a fast development of broadband networks. The tender is launched under HAKOM’s Programme for the Development of the Internet and Broadband Access in the Areas of Special State Concern, Hilly and Mountainous Areas and on Islands, which is aimed at building the necessary infrastructure for broadband access for target users, such as schools, health care and fire-fighting institutions. The current tender is specific because the broadband access network is ensured for 14 institutions on islands.
 
It is worth mentioning that so far HAKOM has conducted four tenders for aid under which it allocated over HRK 36 million for the building of electronic communications networks and ensured broadband access for a total of 229 target users in the territory of the whole of Croatia.
