IRG RAIL Plenary Meeting

An independent group of railway regulatory authorities held a two-day meeting presenting the working group activities and adopted documents relevant to the rail market.

 
ZAGREB, 28 May 2021 –Under the chairmanship of the Austrian regulatory authority, this week, a two-day plenary meeting of the Independent Regulators’ Group – (Rail) was held through videoconference. HAKOM’s representatives and IRG Rail's vice-chairman took part in the meeting.

At the plenary meeting, HAKOM reported on the progress related to the network tool that enables joint work on the documentation which would represent a significant and important change in the work of working groups. Furthermore, the working groups, six of them in total, presented their work and progress in the work programme implementation for the current year. A special group working on amendments of the general acts of the IRG Rail has reported on the topics, i.e. possible ways of defining certain key aspects of the organisation's work. Finally, the members voted on the press release on the occasion of the European year of Rail and the following documents were adopted:  Timetable Design, Statement of responsibility of the infrastructure manager.

Report on the workshop on reasonable profit and amendments to the 2021 Work Programme in the part relating to the scope analysis of relevant regulations application in cargo terminals.
