Licences Based on a Public Tender
HAKOM grants an individual licence for the use of radio frequency spectrum based on a previously conducted public tender procedure, for a radio frequency band where, due to the limited availability of radio frequency spectrum, this procedure of granting the licence is determined by the Radio Frequency Allocation Table.
The Radio Frequency Allocation Table specifies the granting of licences based on a previously conducted tender procedure for radio frequency bands that are of particular importance and where there is significant demand. Due to the limited radio frequency spectrum, it would not be possible to accommodate all interested parties.
HAKOM initiates the licence granting procedure ex officio. Detailed conditions for assignment and use, selection criteria, and the procedure for announcing and conducting the tender are described in the Ordinance on the Conditions for the Assignment and Use of Radio Frequency Spectrum.
