The Government of the Republic of Croatia brought the Decision on the adoption of the National Action Plan on the use in the 470-790 MHz frequency band

The National Action Plan shall lay down the basic determinants for the conversion, and allowance of use of the 694-790 MHz frequency band for terrestrial systems capable of providing wireless broadband electronic communications services. Provision was also made for the availability of the 470-694 MHz frequency band for the terrestrial provision of broadcasting services and the further development of digital terrestrial television and for use by wireless audio systems for programme production and special events.

ZAGREB, 8 May 2020 - On Thursday, 7 May, the Government of the Republic of Croatia brought the decision on adoption of 2020 National Action Plan for the use of the 470-790 MHz frequency band. The National Action Plan for the use of the 470-790 MHz frequency band lays down the basic determinants for the conversion  and allowance use of the 694-790 MHz frequency band (the so-called second digital dividend) for terrestrial systems capable of providing wireless broadband electronic communications services. In addition, the Decision was brought to ensure availability of the 470-694 MHz frequency band for the terrestrial provision of broadcasting services and the further development of digital terrestrial television and for use by wireless audio systems for programme production and special events. The 470-790 MHz frequency band is currently used for digital terrestrial television services, programme production and special events. Decision (EU) 2017/899 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2017 on the  use  in the 470-790 MHz frequency band in the Union prescribes  granting of the right of use  in the 700 MHz frequency band for wireless broadband electronic communications services and the availability of the 470-694 MHz frequency band for the terrestrial provision of broadcasting services, including free television and for use by wireless audio PMSE, taking into account the principle of technological neutrality.
