BEREC Workshop on end user rights and technological trends
ZAGREB, March 15, 2024 - BEREC will organize a hybrid workshop on April 9, 2024, to discuss the impact of market and technological developments on end user rights and their ability to make free and informed consent. Distinguished speakers and participants at the workshop will also examine other rights stemming from the European Electronic Communications Code (EECC) and consider whether any of them have caused or could potentially cause disruptions in the market or harm to end users. The workshop will be opened by Tonko Obuljen (HAKOM), the BEREC Chair in 2024.
Workshop Topics
The workshop is organized by BEREC End User Working Group and will focus on changes in consumer rights, service availability, contract-related issues, and emergency communication matters, as well as an interesting introductory panel covering future trends and technological challenges. After the workshop, BEREC will prepare a summary report and will take into account the workshop's results when preparing its opinion on Article 123 of the EECC.
Workshop Format
Participants can attend the workshop in person in Brussels, at the IRG Secretariat, located at Rue de la Science 14, 3rd floor. The event is scheduled from 10 am to 4 pm, and BEREC has extended the registration deadline to March 29, 2024.
