CB Radio Stations
RF Spectrum in the Republic of Croatia is used based on either an individual licence for the use of radio frequency spectrum or a general licence for the use of RF spectrum, except in the case outlined in Article 86 of the Law, which pertains to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, police, security and intelligence agencies, the government body responsible for protection and rescue, and emergency services.
To grant an individual licence for the use of radio frequency spectrum, an appropriate request must be submitted to HAKOM in accordance with the prescribed procedures. Based on a general licence, every legal and physical person has the right to use the radio frequency band without submitting a request and without obtaining additional approval.
HAKOM grants a general licence for the use of radio frequency spectrum in cases of negligible risk of interference or in harmonised radio frequency bands, particularly for the purpose of implementing relevant decisions and recommendations from the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) and its bodies, which have been accepted in the Republic of Croatia.

USE OF CB RADIO STATIONS
By the decision ECC/DEC/(11)03, the conditions for harmonised use of CB radio stations were established, which include free movement and use of CB radio stations and exemption from granting an individual licence for their use.
TBased on the decision ECC/DEC/(11)03 and the ETSI EN 300433 standard, HAKOM has granted a general licence number OD-134a which has been published on HAKOM’s official website.
The decision and the standard define the technical characteristics of CB radio stations, particularly:

The decision and the standard define the technical characteristics of CB radio stations, particularly:
- the frequency range 26.960-27.410 MHz (10 kHz spacing), except for the channels on central frequencies 26.995 MHz, 27.045 MHz, 27.095 MHz, 27.145 MHz, and 27.195 MHz,
- maximum effective radiated power of 4 W for frequency modulation (FM), 4 W for double-sideband modulation (AM-DSB), and 12 W (peak envelope power - PEP) for single-sideband modulation (AM-SSB),
- CB radio stations are intended for voice communication.
