ERGP supports the initiative of postal service provides regarding sending postal items to Ukraine

The European Group of Postal Regulators (ERGP), supports the initiative on temporary price reductions or exemptions wholly from the collection of postage and other costs for humanitarian aid sent to the Ukrainian population.

ZAGREB, March 10, 2022 - The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), as a full member of the European Group of Postal Regulators (ERGP), informs the interested public and all stakeholders in the postal services market in the Republic of Croatia on ERGP announcement where this  advisory body of the European Commission expresses a strong support for the initiative of authorised postal service providers in  the international postal traffic in the EU Member States regarding temporary price reduction or exemptions from postal services and other humanitarian charges/payments. The ERGP invites postal service providers to reduce or abolish fees regularly charged for sending the parcels including individual postal items, containing medicine and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The Ukrainian Regulatory Authority has informed the ERGP that there will be no charges for the delivery of humanitarian aid , delivered free of charge by the EU postal service providers on the territory of Ukraine.
