European Commission has announced a Call for Applications for the "Digital Connectivity Awards 2025

The European Commission Rewards the Best Projects in the Field of Gigabit Infrastructure and Digital Connectivity

ZAGREB, 17 March 2025 - The European Commission has announced a call for applications for the Digital Connectivity Awards, a competition that recognises and rewards innovative projects in the field of digital connectivity. The aim of the award is to highlight best practices in planning and implementing broadband networks and to encourage the further development of digital infrastructure within the European Union.

The competition is open to electronic communications operators, local and regional government bodies, and other stakeholders implementing digital connectivity projects co-financed by European Union funds.

The awards will be presented in three categories:
  • Excellence and innovation in the implementation of gigabit infrastructure
  • Bridging the digital divide in rural and remote areas
  • Cross-border and international connectivity
As the Broadband Competence Office (BCO) Croatia, HAKOM invites all interested parties to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their projects that contribute to digital connectivity in Croatia and Europe.

The deadline for applications
