European Commission Invests €140 Million in the Development of Key Digital Technologies – Open Calls under the Digital Europe Programme
- the integration of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) into public administration and the agri-food sector,
- strengthening advanced digital skills,
- expanding the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs),
- combating disinformation.
The funding will support projects in strategically important areas for the European Union’s digital sovereignty, including European data spaces, the European blockchain service, digital public services, and support for national and local digital transformation initiatives.
The deadline for submitting applications is 2 September 2025. Eligible applicants include public bodies, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), digital innovation hubs, educational institutions, and other organisations from EU Member States and associated countries.
