HAKOM Concludes BEREC Chairmanship with a Successful Fourth Plenary Meeting in Ljubljana

Discussions centred on strategic guidelines for the further development of electronic communications, and BEREC’s key initiatives and priorities for the upcoming year were defined.

ZAGREB, 6 December 2024 - The fourth plenary meeting of BEREC (the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications) was held in Ljubljana on 5 and 6 December 2024, marking the conclusion of an exceptionally significant year for the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) in its role as BEREC Chair.

The meeting brought together representatives from national regulatory authorities of all EU Member States, along with associate members without voting rights, to discuss key strategic directions for the advancement of electronic communications in Europe. In addition, the meeting outlined BEREC’s primary initiatives and priorities for the coming year.

As part of the closing activities, (a Public Debriefing) regarding the main topics and conclusions of the plenary session will take place online on 11 December 2024. This will provide the public and all interested stakeholders with insights into the most important outcomes and discussions from the meeting.

This year has been particularly significant for HAKOM, and we are proud to have made a substantial contribution as BEREC Chair towards achieving the goals of creating a more connected and competitive Europe. Although our chairmanship has concluded, our commitment to BEREC’s objectives remains unwavering.
