HAKOM held the Round Table with the representatives of consumer protection associations

The topic of the meeting was the protection of rights of the users of electronic communications services as well as the users of postal and railway services, whose protection is also under the jurisdiction of HAKOM.

 
ZAGREB, 30 April 2021 - With the aim of improving the market for electronic communications as well as  the postal and railway services, and taking into consideration all initiatives of the interested stakeholders, HAKOM organised a round table on Thursday April 29 with the  representatives of consumer associations on the topic of “Consumer Rights – End User Rights”. At the meeting, where 12 representatives of consumer associations participated, the topic  was on protection of users rights of electronic communications services, as well as of users of postal and rail services, whose protection, in terms of delivery and use of services, is also within HAKOM's competence. During the meeting, representatives of associations pointed out some problems, with examples from the practice they face in their advisory work, such as the quality of services in mobile and immobile public communication network with an emphasis on the Internet services, contracting and termination of subscription contracts, delays and loss of postal items, issues of complaints/ disputes of users.

They discussed the possibility of certain improvements that would contribute to an easier and more efficient resolution of the difficulties that users of services face.
