HAKOM participated in the workshop of the Croatian Association of Railway Engineers

Within the scope of the workshop, HAKOM held the lecture on “Development and Supervision of Liberalised Railway Market in the Republic of Croatia”.

ZAGREB, March 21, 2022– Following the invitation of the Croatian Railway Engineers Association (HDŽI), HAKOM participated in the workshop “Academy 21”, held in Tuheljske Toplice on March 18-19, 2022. HDŽI is a professional association promoting the recognition of the railway as an environmentally friendly, energy efficient, competitive and safe transport system, enabling railway professionals to acquire advanced knowledge and training as the undertakings of development of the entire national rail system. “Academy 21” is designed as an educational and communication platform with the aim to provide active members of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts with additional education in various areas related to railways and their interest, promote technologies, achievements and trends in the railway sector and strengthen the capacities and image of the Croatian Railways.

Due to their expertise in the Regulation and supervision of the railway market, HAKOM has been recognized as a partner in this field, and representatives of HAKOM held a professional lecture on the development and supervision of the liberalised railway market in the Republic of Croatia. The interactive workshop exchanged experiences and knowledge on railway digitisation topics, the role of railway engineers, challenges in the planning of major rail projects, the introduction of new digital solutions in the field of railway infrastructure and the application of intelligent transport systems in the function of railway traffic management.
