HAKOM’s new brochure on rail passengers’ rights and obligations
Zagreb, 29 November 2023- As of 7 June 2023, a new Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on rail passengers’ rights and obligations has been applied - Regulation (EU) 2021/782, replacing the now-old Regulation EC No 1371/2007. In accordance with the amendments in the Regulation, HAKOM has created a new brochure for rail passengers with the aim of informing them about their rights and obligations during train journeys.
The brochure particularly emphasizes support for persons with disabilities and those with reduced mobility, a description of the complaint procedure - including complaints and HAKOM’s role in protecting passengers’ rights.
Brochures are available at the cash registers of most stations, on trains, on the websites of HŽ Putnički prijevoz, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Consumer Association, the Union of Croatian Railways, and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, you can find the brochure on HAKOM’s website at the following link.
