New Brochure on Child Protection in the Digital World

The brochure provides helpful advice on online dangers and safety.

ZAGREB, 16 January 2025 - HAKOM has published a new brochure entitled “Keys to a Secure Internet”, which will be distributed to fifth-graders of primary schools throughout Croatia this year. The brochure contains practical and useful advice on online security, privacy and personal data protection, responsible behaviour, and the use of social networks. It is part of HAKOM's information programme for children and parents, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth since 2016.

Once again, HAKOM will present the brochure to the public during the Safer Internet Day celebrations on Tuesday, 11 February, as part of the “In Search of a Better Internet” conference. This event is organised by HAKOM in partnership with CARNET, the Safer Internet Centre, and the organisation “Partners in Learning”.

As part of the Child Online Protection Project, HAKOM's experts are continuously running an educational programme for primary school pupils as well as their parents. The programme aims to provide essential information about responsible behaviour when using social networks, particularly as children begin to use them independently without constant adult supervision.

HAKOM's brochure is already available in electronic format at the provided link.
