Radio Stations in the Satellite Service Operating Under a General Licence (SNG)
INSTRUCTIONS for Notification of the Start of Operation for Radio Stations in the Satellite Service Operating Under a General Licence
The technical conditions under which certain types of radio stations may be used without obtaining individual operating licence from HAKOM (i.e., for each radio station individually) are defined in general licence.
General licenses OD-93 (radio station used for Satellite News Gathering - SNG), OD 94 and OD-95 (VSAT satellite terminals), as well as OD-100 and OD-101 (earth stations on vessels in the fixed satellite service) define the technical conditions under which SNG, earth stations on vessels, and VSAT radio stations are exempt from requirement to obtain individual licenses. However, before commissioning these radio stations, you are required to report their installation to HAKOM via the e-Application RP platform.
Note:
If certain SNG or VSAT radio station does not meet the technical conditions outlined in general licences OD-93, OD-94, OD-95, OD-100, or OD-101, it is necessary to request individual licences from HAKOM for those stations.
