Testing in Croatia
The testing of 5G technology is currently being conducted in Croatia, for which all three mobile operators on the market have requested temporary licenses for use of the RF spectrum which do not allow commercial provision of services.
HAKOM has issued temporary licenses for use of the RF spectrum in the 3.6 GHz frequency band for technical testing of 5G technology in the areas of the city of Zagreb including the area of the city of Samobor and the city of Sveta Nedelja and the Franjo Tuđman Airport, the city of Osijek, the city of Rijeka, the city of Split, the Island of Krk, the city of Dubrovnik, the city of Hvar, the city of Novalja, the city of Jastrebarsko, the city of Rab, the city of Bjelovar, the city of Novska and the city of Varaždin.
HAKOM has also issued temporary licenses in the 700 MHz band for technical testing of 5G technology in the areas of the city of Zagreb and the county Bistra
HAKOM conducted control measurements of electromagnetic field levels at locations near base stations where 5G technology is tested in the city of Osijek. For more information on measurements, see the document.
