The 3rd CEF call for proposals has been published
ZAGREB on 17 October 2023 – The third call for proposals for the allocation of funds under the Digital Section of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme will co-finance projects in the field of 5G coverage along transport routes (roads, railways, waterways) with EUR 100 million for studies and works, 5G and edge Cloud for smart Communities with EUR 51 million for works and backbone connectivity for digital global gateways (submarine cables, satellite terrestrial infrastructure) with 90 million EUR for studies and works.The initial deadline for submission of proposals to 17 January 2024 has been extended to 20 February 2024.
Public or private entities (including collective investment) established in the EU countries, including overseas countries or territories, may apply. Cross-border and international cooperation is also possible under certain conditions and participation is subject to security restrictions defined on a call-by-call basis.
The topics of the call, the evaluation steps and the grant award process will be presented in detail in the Info days 3. CEF call organised by the European Commission, the Directorate-General for communications networks, content and technology (CONNECT) and the Executive Agency for Health and Digital technology (HaDEA). Info day will take place on 26 October 2023 online, and interested stakeholders will be able to learn more about how to apply and how to draft successful proposals for the 3rd call.
