The 4th ERGP Stakeholders Forum was held
Zagreb, 29 September 2023 — The fourth (European Regulators Group for Postal Services Forum (ERGP Stakeholders Forum) was held in Brussels on Wednesday (27 September), which brought together about 150 representatives of key stakeholders. The Forum played a significant role in reflecting on the future of the postal sector and allowed for an exchange of views between the European Commission, national regulators and other actors involved.
The Forum discussed, among other things, the future of items of correspondence, parcel delivery segment, global perspectives and connecting the European postal market with the rest of the world, and the key role of European postal services in achieving the green transition. The priorities of the European Commission for the future of the postal sector have been highlighted in terms of creating a regulatory framework capable of responding to a dynamic market environment and ensuring the long-term competitiveness of the sector.
The Forum was also an opportunity to present the Draft ERGP Work Programme 2024, which was at a public consultation until 6 October, 2023.
