World Mobile Congress (MWC) Held in Barcelona

ZAGREB, 11 March 2025 - Organised by GSMA, the global association of mobile service providers, the traditional World Mobile Congress (Mobile World Congress - MWC) was held in Barcelona from 3 to 6 March, with representatives from HAKOM also in attendance. The event is one of the largest and most influential in the field of mobile communications and digital technologies, featuring all major service providers, equipment manufacturers, and representatives from regulators and ministries from around the world.

The congress showcased numerous industry innovations that will contribute to full connectivity and digital transformation. Particular emphasis was placed on the application of artificial intelligence systems in improving network management efficiency and the increasing convergence of digital and telecommunications services.

HAKOM representatives had an additional role in coordinating meetings of the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC), which HAKOM chaired last year. During meetings with industry representatives, regulatory challenges were discussed, with a special focus on the legislative reform the European Commission plans for the end of the year.
