HAKOM held a regular round table with associations for consumer protection
Zagreb, 25 September 2023 Last week, the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), as the national regulatory body that protects users’ rights and supervises the obligations of providers in the field of electronic communications, postal and rail services, held a round table with representatives of consumer organizations.
At the round table, many associations from almost the entire territory of Croatia had their representatives: HUZP, Croatian association for consumer protection (Zagreb), Međimurski potrošač, Međimurje Consumer Association, Varaždiski Potrošač, Association for the Protection of Consumers of the City of Samobor, Potrošačica – Croatian Association for Consumer Protection, Croatian Association for Consumer Protection of Bjelovar-Bilogora County, Association of Consumer Protection Centre Rijeka, Centre for Consumer Protection of Vukovar-Srijem County “Voice of Consumer”, Dalmatian Consumer and Association for Education, Protection and Information of Consumers Slavonski Brod.
On this occasion, the participants exchanged experiences and became acquainted with the changes in the new Rules in the field of user protection, which will enter into force at the beginning of next year and with the provisions of the new European Accessibility Act (EEA) Such meetings are continuously held to establish even better cooperation with associations, obtain feedback and suggestions, as well as to inform all interested parties about market news and user rights from the position of regulator.
